Singer Katz lawyers win trial verdict against City of Toronto for broken glass causing permanent vision loss

Congratulations to Jason Katz and Ari Singer of Singer Katz LLP as they successfully represented a young girl who suffered a life altering eye injury when shards of glass struck her face after a door panel in a local community centre shattered. The City of Toronto denied all responsibility for her injuries alleging that it had taken the necessary safety precautions.

In her decision released on June 28, 2019, Madam Justice J. Wilson found the City liable for failing to install safety glass in the office door.
