Happy Halloween from the team at Singer Katz LLP!
Here are 5 Tips for Safe Trick or Treating this evening:
1. Plan Your Route: Before heading out, map out a safe route that you and your kids will follow. Stick to well-lit areas and avoid busy streets whenever possible.
2. Stay Visible: Make sure your costume and any accessories are bright and visible. Consider adding reflective tape to costumes and bags, and use flashlights or glow sticks to increase visibility.
3. Supervise Young Children: Always accompany young children while trick-or-treating. For older kids, establish a curfew and set guidelines about where they can go and who they can go with.
4. Check Candy Before Enjoying: After returning home, inspect all treats before letting your kids indulge. Discard any unwrapped, suspicious-looking, or homemade items that you don’t recognize.
5. Know Emergency Contacts: Ensure that everyone in your group has a way to contact each other if separated. Equip kids with a cell phone or make sure they know your phone number. Have emergency contact information handy in case of an unexpected situation.
Have fun and be safe this #Halloween! 🎃
